Hello Everyone… Good day to all! ❤❤❤
Oily Skin and Sunscreens… And the battle is never-ending… Oily skin are mostly prone to breakouts… And Sunscreens not only make the skin even more oily, they also sometimes clog the pores and lead to breakouts.. 🙁
Comes to our rescue- “Gel Sunscreens”!!! ❤
Gel Sunscreens claim to soothe the acne prone skin and keep a check on the oily skin while providing the usual sun protection.. ❤
Today, I am going to review one such Gel Sunscreen, from Aroma Magic… that claims to be especially formulated for oily, acne prone skin! ❤
AROMA MAGIC ALOE VERA SUNSCREEN GEL, BROAD SPECTRUM UVA/UVB, SPF 20

DESCRIPTION: Protects and hydrates, all natural mineral line.
I am 100% free of oxybenzone, paraben, harsh chemicals ,alcohol and artificial fragrance. My all mineral, gel formula creates a physical barrier between you and the sun. I am non greasy, skin friendly and enriched with wheatgerm, avocado and grapeseed oils. They provide natural sun safety, vitamin B5, C, E and prevent visible signs of ageing. Notes of calendula, peppermint and roman chamomile essential oils hydrate, soothe and reduce acne. The non nano zinc oxide in me is a mineral reflector found in nature that scatters harmful rays. Aloe Vera extracts hydrate, purify and provide smart sun protection.
HOW TO USE: Knead the tube with your hands and give a good shake as natural ingredients tend to separate. Apply me generously 15 minutes before sun exposure for desired protection. Use 1/2 tsp. to protect your face and 1 tbsp to cover skin from head to toe. I am a perfect complement to your daily makeup routine too.
CAUTION: Reapply every 90 minutes and every 30 minutes if you are doing anything active, that’s causing you to work up a sweat and always after swimming.
CONTAINS:
Purified water, organic beeswax, aloe barbadensis gel, zinc oxide, persea gratissima oil, vegetable glycerin, Triticum vulgare germ oil, calendula officinalis essential oil, vitis vinifera seed oil, ascorbic acid, anthemis nobilis essential oil, mentha piperita essential oil, sodium riboflavin phosphate, aloe barbadensis leaf extract, panthenol.

COST: INR 285 for 100 ml
SHELF LIFE: 3 years.
MY TAKE ON THE PRODUCT:
The Aroma Magic Aloe Vera Sunscreen gel comes in a cutely printed, sea-green coloured tube packaging with all the details mentioned on the pack itself.. ❤ The cap of the tube shuts absolutely tight and leaves no chance of product leakage.. So, It can be slipped into any handbag with ease.. ❤

The gel has a mild, sweet, ‘rose water mixed with some herbs’ kind of smell and a faint greenish colour to it…
The sunscreen spreads on the skin effortlessly and gets easily absorbed too.. But once it gets absorbed, any further massaging might make the gel come off the skin (I guess that’s the issue with most of the gel Sunscreens).. 😛
This Sunscreen gel never broke out my acne prone, oily skin or increased any pre-existing acne.. Neither did it make my skin sticky/greasy, nor did I sweat excessively.. ❤❤❤
The gel is quite soothing to the skin and oily skinned beauties can easily skip their daily moisturiser, when using the Sunscreen, because the gel keeps the skin hydrated for quite long.. ❤
As far as the working is concerned, it does protect the skin quite effectively from sunburns and suntan..
I have used it before going out in the Sun (Including morning hours, mid-days and afternoons) for a couple of hours and have tanned quite negligibly compared to what I would tan without a Sunscreen.. ❤
So, in my opinion, for a combination or oily skin that is prone to breakouts, this gel Sunscreen is definitely a boon! ❤❤❤

SUMMING UP PROS AND CONS:
PROS:
1. Inexpensive and easily available. Buy it from here!
2. Travel friendly.
3. Never broke me out or increased my acne.
4. Soothing and hydrating for combination-oily skin ( The moisturiser can be easily skipped during summers, after using this sunscreen!).
5. Provides effective protection against sunburn and suntan..
CONS:
1. The gel might come off the skin, if rubbed after it gets absorbed into the skin.
2. The low SPF number might be an issue for some, though it gives optimum protection even with a SPF of 20.
RATING: 4/5
FINAL TAKE: A great Sunscreen for oily, acne prone skin.. Doesn’t break out the skin or increase the acne.. And does its work quite efficiently! ❤
Hope It Helps ❤
