Hello dear people! ❤❤❤
I hope you all are doing great! 🙂
“A bath and a tenderloin steak. Those are the high points of a man’s life.” – Curt Siodmak, American-German novelist.
Well, I have NO idea about a ‘tenderloin steak’ (#veg_life) but yes, a ‘bath’ is definitely a high point of my (and almost everyone else’s) daily life! 😛
A refreshing bath leaves me de-stressed, calm, alert and elevated, giving me a much-needed boost to carry on with the day… And one thing that helps me achieve this and turns my mundane bath into a luxurious one, is a ‘GOOD’ body wash! ❤
Today, I will be reviewing one such body wash from the brand – Biotique! ❤
Read on! 😀

MY TAKE ON THE PRODUCT:
The Biotique Bio Apricot refreshing body wash comes in a cylindrical, translucent, plastic bottle packaging (190ml) with a dark green coloured screw-on cap on the top! The mouth of the bottle is fitted with a stopper lid which in turn contains a 2mm wide hole in the centre… This lid keeps a check on the amount of the gel coming out of the bottle and prevents any sort of wastage! 😀 The overall packaging of the body wash is really sturdy and leak-proof which makes it a good travel companion, if one is comfortable with its size! 😀
This body wash also comes in a bigger packaging (a humongous 800ml bottle with a pump dispenser) which is best suited for a family bathroom… Both the bottles contain some necessary details about the product mentioned over them… However, like all the other Biotique products, this body wash too, lacks a complete list of ingredients! 🙁
The Bio Apricot body wash is bright peachy-orange in colour and has a slightly thick, gel like consistency… The gel has a mild to moderately strong, unisex fragrance with floral and woody hints to it! The fragrance, although beautiful, doesn’t linger much post bath! 😀
This Biotique body wash lathers really well with a loofah and just half a teaspoon of the gel is enough to cover the entire body in a luxurious foam… But without a loofah, the gel doesn’t lather considerably and only foams a little, although that doesn’t hamper its cleansing capability! The body wash effectively cleanses the skin of all the dirt, dust, oil and grime and leaves it feeling fresh, soft and smooth! ❤
This refreshing body wash stands up to its claims and doesn’t leave the skin ‘dehydrated’, dry or stretchy, post use!
I have a dry body skin type which behaves quite normal during the summers and turns dry to extremely dry during the winters… This body wash never made my skin feel too stretchy or dry, whenever I used it during the colder, winter days… And although it didn’t provide any extra hydration to my skin, it atleast didn’t leave it ‘dehydrated’… ❤
During the hotter days, however, this body wash leaves my skin nourished and well hydrated (but not at all greasy), throughout the day! ❤
And so, in my opinion, this body wash would work well for almost all the skin types, ranging from oily to normal to dry! 😀

SUMMING UP PROS AND CONS:
1. Affordable and easily available both online as well as offline! You can buy it online from Amazon, Nykaa or Flipkart!
2. Sturdy and leak-proof packaging; travel friendly, except for its big size!
3. Contains a good percentage of natural, ayurvedic ingredients and claims to be organically pure and preservative free!
4. Has a mild to moderately strong, pleasant, unisex fragrance; the fragrance doesn’t linger much post bath!
5. Lathers really well with a loofah and half a teaspoon of the gel is enough for one use if used with a loofah; doesn’t lather much without a loofah, but still works quite well!
6. Gently cleanses the skin of all the dirt, oil and grime, leaving the skin soft and smooth!
7. Works well for all the skin types! ❤
1. Only the key ingredients are mentioned and the composition of the gel base isn’t disclosed!
2. Doesn’t provide enough moisturisation to the drier skin types, but that’s alright as it just claims to ‘cleanse without dehydrating’ and not to provide any extra hydration or nourishment!
FINAL TAKE: Biotique Bio Apricot body wash is by far ONE of my (and my mom’s) personal favourite body washes… It is simple, affordable, has a pleasant fragrance, lathers nicely, cleanses well, leaves the skin hydrated and works great for all the skin types.. ❤
Hope it helps! ❤
