Hello dear people! ❤❤❤
I hope you all are doing great! 🙂
Today, I am going to introduce you to a brand that is not just amazing but also unique… And when I say unique, I mean realllyyy unique! 😀
The brand that I am talking about is ‘Chauth & Nagsan‘, an Indian skincare brand that has all its products based on one key ingredient – THE DEAD SEA MUD! Now, how cool is that?! 😀
Dead sea mud, as we all know, is a mud that is rich in minerals like magnesium, sodium, potassium and calcium and is quite detoxifying and healing… Dead sea mud not just removes skin impurities but also soothes skin disorders like psoriasis, eczema and acne, improves elasticity of the skin and minimizes pores, wrinkles, fine lines and even cellulite! ❤
And having a complete skin cleansing range infused with dead sea mud is pretty amazing! 😀
Chauth & Nagsan have three products right now – a face wash, a scrub and a mask – and I would be reviewing all three of them in a series of three posts, starting from today! 😀
So, here goes the first post of the series… A review of the dead sea mud face wash!
Read on! ❤

MY TAKE ON THE PRODUCT:
The Chauth & Nagsan dead sea mud face wash comes in a transparent plastic bottle packaging with a black-coloured pump dispenser on the top! The bottle contains a label around it which has all the details about the product, including the list of ingredients, cautions and shelf life mentioned over it… The overall packaging of the face wash is really good and sturdy but the pump dispenser lacks a lock or an external cap which could keep the product secure, making it unsuitable for traveling purposes!
The face wash is translucent grey in colour and has a really thick and dense gel like consistency… It is not very sticky to touch and has a smooth texture! This face wash has a natural, wet clay like fragrance which is actually quite mild and pleasant and wouldn’t bother the sensitive noses! ❤
The face wash is free from sulphates and hence, it doesn’t lather much but that doesn’t hamper its cleansing capability and just a little more than a pea-sized amount of the gel is enough to thoroughly cleanse the entire face and neck! This face wash cleanses the skin really well no matter how dirty or oily it is… It washes away all the dirt, impurities, sebum and oil from the surface of the skin and also from deep within the pores, leaving the skin clean and fresh! This face wash also refines and shrinks the pores to a great extent and makes the skin feel quite toned… ❤
But the thing that I love the most about this face wash is how smooth it makes my skin feel after every single use! I have used a lot of face washes and many of them have made my skin feel soft and smooth to touch but with this face wash, my skin feels a different kind of smooth, as if I have a primer on (which is most probably due to the fact that it refines the pores)! ❤
Coming to how it would work with different skin types… Right now, I have a normal-combination skin type but I have experimented a bit with this face wash and as per my experience, I believe that this face wash would work well with almost all the skin types… It does make the skin feel toned but it doesn’t really dry out my skin and so, I don’t think that it would dry out normal to oily skin types at all… But it might make the drier skin types feel a little dry and stretchy post use and hence, may not work well with very dry skin types! 😀
Additionally, it didn’t harm or breakout my acne-prone skin and so, even people with an acne-prone skin type can give it a try! 🙂
SUMMING UP PROS AND CONS:
1. Easily available online on Amazon, Flipkart, Snapdeal and Facetyfirst! [Currently available at a good discount on most of the websites!]
2. Free from parabens, phthalates, petroleum derivatives and SLS and enriched with aloe vera and pure, mineral-rich dead sea mud! ❤
3. Has a mild and pleasant, wet clay like fragrance!
4. Doesn’t lather much and even then just a little more than a pea-sized amount of the gel is enough for one use!
5. Cleanses the skin really well and washes away all the dirt, grime, oil and sebum from the surface of the skin as well as from within the pores!
6. Leaves the skin clean, soft, smooth and toned post use!
7. Doesn’t breakout or harm the skin!
8. Would suit almost all the skin types except maybe very dry skin types!
1. Slightly expensive!
2. The packaging is not at all travel-friendly!
3. Might make the drier skin types feel a little dry and stretchy post use!
FINAL TAKE: Cleansing, smoothening and toning… I love how multipurpose this face wash is! 😛 If you are looking for a good face wash and are not on an extremely tight budget, I would recommend that you give this face wash a try! 😀
Hope it helps! ❤
