MY TAKE ON THE PRODUCT:

Chauth & Nagsan dead sea mud mask comes in a transparent plastic tub packaging with an inner leak-proofing lid and an outer black-coloured screw-on cap! The packaging is really sturdy and doesn’t leak or break under pressure which makes it quite travel-friendly! ❀ The tub is covered in olive-green coloured labels which contain all the necessary details about the product mentioned over them…

The mask is olive-green is colour and smells like a mixture of wet clay, fragrant oils and herbs… The fragrance is quite pleasant but not very strong and fades away within minutes of application! This mask has a smooth texture and a non-runny but lightweight consistency… It spreads on the skin with ease, doesn’t tingle at all and is also pretty easy to wash off! πŸ˜€

This dead sea mud mask absorbs all the impurities, pollutants and excess grease from the surface of the skin and also from deep within the pores and gets completely dry within 12-15 minutes of application… It leaves the skin deeply cleansed and fresh and also makes it feel softer and smoother than before! If you want to test its effectiveness, you can use the mask on one side of your face and wait for 20 minutes to feel the difference! πŸ˜› [I did the same! πŸ˜‰ ]

One thing that I love about this mask is that even though it is a mud and clay based mask, it doesn’t suck out moisture from the skin! Right now, I have a normal-combination skin type with quite a few live acne on my face and I have been using this mask for the last three weeks! This mask doesn’t dry out my skin at all (which is pretty surprising since most of the other clay based masks do!) and instead leaves it slightly hydrated…
The day when I tried testing the mask and used it on just one side of my face, a while after rinsing it off I actually felt a little stretchiness on the side of my face where I hadn’t used the mask while the other side remained hydrated for a pretty long time without any kind of moisturizer!
So, in my opinion, this mask would work great for oily to normal-dry skin types, almost throughout the year while it might make drier skin types feel somewhat dry and stretchy, especially during the colder days!
This mask also doesn’t irritate the acne or breakout the skin and hence, even people with acne-prone skin types can give it a try! ❀

SUMMING UP PROS AND CONS:

PROS:

1. Easily available online onΒ Amazon, Flipkart,Β SnapdealΒ andΒ Facetyfirst! [Currently available at a good discount on most of the websites!]
2. Sturdy, leak-proof and travel-friendly packaging!
3. Free from harmful chemicals like parabens, phthalates, SLS and petroleum derivatives and contains kaolin clay, bentonite, dead sea mud, almond oil, jojoba seed oil, shea butter, vitamin E, aloe vera gel, green tea extract, calendula oil, tulsi extract, sandalwood oil and walnut shell powder! ❀
4. Has a herbal fragrance which is quite pleasant!
5. Has a pretty smooth texture and is really easy to apply and remove; doesn’t tingle!
6. Absorbs excess grease and impurities from the surface of the skin as well as from within the pores and leaves the skin soft, smooth, clean and fresh!
7. Doesn’t dry out the skin and instead adds a thin layer of hydration!
8. Doesn’t harm or breakout the skin!
9. Great for oily to normal-dry skin types! ❀

CONS:

1. A little expensive…
2. May not work well with dry to extremely dry skin types, especially during the winter months!

RATING: 4.6/5

FINAL TAKE: We all love it when we receive a little more than what we bargain for! Don’t we? πŸ˜€
I love this dead sea mud mask for the same reason! It doesn’t just contain dead sea mud but also a ton of other skin-loving ingredients like aloe vera, tulsi, green tea and much more! ❀
If you have a skin type that lies in between oily to normal-dry skin types and are looking for a clay based mask, I would recommend that you give this a try!

Hope it helps! ❀
