Hello dear people! 🙂 🙂 🙂
I hope you all are doing great! ❤❤❤
Aloe vera gel is a ‘must-have’ product in every home! It is a wonder gel that not only keeps the skin cool and hydrated but also treats sunburns, lightens spots, fights acne, aging and infections, prevents dandruff, promotes healthy hair growth and even helps the wounds heal faster! ❤❤❤
So, when the same wonder gel comes enriched with the goodness of lemon extracts, how can one a ‘NO’ to it? 😀 😀 😀
Today, I am going to talk about the organic lemon gel from Fabeya that has been a part of my skincare routine for about a month now! ❤❤❤
FABEYA BIOCARE ORGANIC LEMON GEL
DESCRIPTION: ‘Lemon’ is an ideal skin brightener due to the presence of vitamin C and citric acid in it. It helps to brighten and lighten the skin over a period of time. Vitamin C in lemon is a great antioxidant that helps in reducing the free radicals and boosting the production of collagen. This process helps to lighten dark spots, age spots and tan!
Fabeya lemon gel works as a magical knee and elbow bleacher. It is anti-bacterial and helps in treating acne. Lemon gel also has moisturising and cleansing properties and helps reduce the production of excess oil on the face!
INGREDIENTS: Purified Aqua, Aloe Vera Juice, TEA, Lemon Extract, Phenoxyethanol, Natural Fragrance.
CAUTION: A herbal formulation; for external use only. Keep out of the reach of children. Discontinue use if irritation occurs.
DIRECTION: Take a small dollop of the gel on to your palm and apply it on your face/body. Massage in clockwise and anti-clockwise motion until the gel gets fully absorbed by the skin. Rinse off after 5 minutes with warm water or leave it on.
COST: Rs. 349 for 340ml
SHELF LIFE: 36 months from the date of manufacturing.
MY TAKE ON THE PRODUCT:
The Fabeya organic lemon gel comes in a simple but sturdy, transparent plastic tub packaging with a silver-coloured screw-on lid over it! The packaging is totally leak-proof and can withstand a lot of pressure without distorting or breaking which makes it quite travel friendly in spite of its huge size! 😀
The body of the tub contains all the details about the product, including the ingredients list, shelf life and caution mentioned over it… And it also comes with a foil seal on the mouth of the tub which keeps the gel hygienic and fresh until opened for use! ❤❤❤
The lemon gel is bright lemon-yellow in colour and has a pleasant, moderately strong fragrance of lemon zest blended with aloe vera gel! 😛 I love the fact that the brand clearly mentions that no artificial colours are being used in the product which is a big pro when it comes to organic skincare products… ❤
The lemon gel is quite thick in consistency but has a smooth and spreadable texture to it… And because of this property, just a tiny amount of the gel is enough to cover the entire face and neck… It gets easily absorbed into the skin with a little massage and doesn’t leave the skin looking greasy or dark…
This gel keeps my combination skin hydrated and nourished for hours and also controls the sebum secretion around the T zone to a considerable extent! ❤
The gel works great as an after-sun mask, especially if chilled before use! I usually apply a thick layer of the gel on my face and leave it on for 10-15 minutes after which I rinse it off with plain water…
The gel calms down the skin and any sort of redness and burning sensation and leaves the face feeling soft and fresh! ❤❤❤
It also works against tan and washes away the fresh tan accumulated on the skin due to the sun exposure, to quite an extent (though not completely)! ❤
This lemon gel also claims to brighten up the dark and dull areas of the skin, including the elbows and knees! Now, I have been using this gel on the dark portions of my arms and legs for about two weeks now and I have, very recently, started to notice a slight brightening effect on those areas, although the effects are not enough prominent to get noticed easily… 😛 I feel that the gel would brighten up the darker areas of the body if used regularly for a long duration of time…
But it would take really longggggggg! 😀
Other than that, I have also used the gel on my dandruff-prone scalp and hair as a hair mask (I ran out of hair masks and this was a ready-made one! 😛 ) and it didn’t aggravate my dandruff or harmed my hair in any sense… Instead it calmed down the itching on my scalp and left my hair feeling soft, post wash! ❤❤❤

SUMMING UP PROS AND CONS:
1. Easily available online! You can get it from Amazon or Flipkart… ❤
2. Very affordable and value for money! A tiny quantity is required for each use and so, a tub of 340ml would last for ages! 😀
3. Bulky but leak-proof and sturdy packaging!
4. A multipurpose organic gel with aloe vera and lemon extracts in it and free from parabens, sulphates, alcohol, pthalates, artificial colors and petrochemicals…
5. Acts as a cooling and soothing mask on the skin; can be used after sun exposure to calm down the skin and reduce the tan! ❤
6. Acts as a lightweight moisturiser for oily-combination skin type! A little amount of the gel can be massaged on to the face or body for instant hydration… ❤
7. Gradually brightens the dull and dark skin on the elbows and knees with regular use, although the effects take a long time to become noticeable! 😀
8. Can be used as a ready-made hair mask (just the way we use aloe vera gels) or mixed with other ingredients into a DIY hair pack! 😀
1. One might not be able to notice a visible brightening or lightening of the skin in a short period of time! 😛
FINAL TAKE: If you are someone who loves incorporating aloe vera gel in his/her daily skincare routine, I would definitely recommend you to try out this lemony aloe vera gel for a twist! This gel from Fabeya is going to act as a great skin coolant for the upcoming summers apart from being an organic skin brightener and a lightweight moisturiser! 🙂
Hope it helps! ❤
