But, hey! How many of us, who use make-up occasionally, really possess a make-up remover or want to invest our money in one?
None! 🙁

Because, honestly, buying a bottle of make-up remover when we know that we won’t be finishing even half of it, is a waste! 🙁

Today, I am going to review a two in one organic face wash from Iba Halal that doubles up as an effective make-up remover; so you know you are going to use it anyway! 😉 ;P 😀

IBA HALAL CARE ALOE AQUA FACE WASH + MAKEUP REMOVER

DESCRIPTION: Halal certified product. No alcohol. No pork or animal derived ingredients. No sulphates and parabens. Neem, Aloe Vera and cucumber enriched. Effectively removes dirt, oil and makeup.

USAGE:
1. As a face wash: Apply gently to wet fact, massage and rinse thoroughly. Avoid eye area.
2. As a makeup remover: Squeeze a small amount into a cotton ball and gently wipe off makeup. Rinse thoroughly.

MY TAKE ON THE PRODUCT:

The Iba Halal Aloe Aqua face wash comes in a simple but sturdy tube packaging with a screw on cap! The tube doesn’t leak under pressure and is perfect for travel purposes! All the product details are mentioned on the backside of tube, including the complete list of ingredients! ❤

This face wash has a thick gel-like consistency and a faint green colour to it! It has a quite pleasant and refreshing aqua fragrance with hints of Aloe Vera! 😀

The first thing that I noticed about this face wash was that it hardly lathers, no matter how much of the product you use… And this proves that the product contains no sulphates or lathering chemicals! ❤
Now, although the face wash doesn’t lather, it still does an amazing job and a bit of massage with a little more than a pea sized amount of it is enough to cleanse the face of all the dirt, oil and grime!
I have used this face wash for quite a few times after struggling with sweat and pollution for the whole day and it has never disappointed me! It effectively washes away layers of oil and pollution from the skin! ❤

Talking about its claims of removing the makeup… Honestly, I was very apprehensive about it when I bought it because it is hard to believe that such an affordable face wash can completely remove makeup from the skin! 😀
But trust me! I was totally surprised! It removes all the traces of makeup from the face… And when I say ‘Makeup’, it includes the regular and the waterproof ones too! ❤

I take about half a teaspoon of the face wash on my palms and massage it all over my wet face, especially the lips, brows and also the eye area (eye lids, lashes and under eyes), for a minute or two and gently wash it off! It removes my waterproof mascara, the superstay matte lipsticks and the water proof kohls without leaving any trace of them! ❤❤❤

One can also take a little amount of the face wash on a cotton ball and use it to remove the makeup as directed by the brand…

The only con that I found in this face wash, after using it during both Summers (my skin gets oily! 😛 ) and Winters (my skin gets normal to dry! 😀 ), is that although it does what it claims to do, it leaves the face a bit stretchy and dry… But it is momentarily and vanishes after the application of a moisturizer… Also, this drying property doesn’t cause any sort of pertaining dryness or irritation to the skin in the long run! ❤

So, I feel that if you are looking for an affordable makeup remover for occasional uses and do no want to invest your money in the big brands, this face wash is going to be a great option for you… ❤

SUMMING UP PROS AND CONS:

PROS:

1. Very affordable and easily available. Buy it from here or here !
2. Sturdy and travel friendly packaging!
3. Has a refreshing aloe-aqua fragrance!
4. Free from Parabens, sulphates, alcohol and other toxic chemicals!
5. Doesn’t lather, which proves that it is free from all kinds of sulphates!
6. As a face wash- It cleanses the skin of all the oil, dirt and grime and leaves the face totally clean!
7. As a makeup remover- It effectively melts all the makeup, including the waterproof, superstay ones and washes off the residue to unveil a fresh skin!

CONS:

1. It makes the skin dry and stretchy post usage until the application of a moisturizer! But this drying nature doesn’t cause any harm to the skin in the long run! 🙂

FINAL TAKE: Iba Halal’s Aloe Aqua face wash + makeup remover is a must have product for everyone who is into occasional or light to medium-heavy makeup! Although it leaves the skin a bit dry, it effectively removes all the make-up, including the waterproof mascaras and lipsticks, while cleansing the face of all the dirt and oil! ❤
