Hello dear people! ❤️❤️❤️
I hope you all are doing great! 🙂
Well, if you have been following me on SNS for quite some time now, you may be aware that I have been using Biotique anti-dandruff shampoo for years and I have never really tried to change it because it always works for me… 😀
But some time back, I got really bored with it and logged on to Nykaa to search for something new… It was there that I came across this anti-dandruff shampoo by K. P. Namboodiri’s and well, it was highly rated…
Long story short, I bought it… 😀
I have been using the shampoo for a long time now and today I am going to review the same for you all… Read on to know if it worked for me! 😛

MY TAKE ON THE PRODUCT:
K.P. Namboodiri’s anti-dandruff shampoo comes in a white-coloured plastic bottle with a green-coloured flip-cap. The labels on the bottle contain all the necessary details, like the ingredients list and shelf life… The overall packaging of the product is quite good; it is sturdy and leak-proof which makes it really travel-friendly!
The shampoo is transparent green in colour and has a runny consistency. It has a refreshing, artificial herbal fragrance… The smell is quite mild and I don’t think that it is going to bother the sensitive noses much!
This anti-dandruff shampoo is loaded with sulphates (50g SLES per 100ml) and unnecessary artificial colouring agents, which is something I really don’t like… Anyway, because of the sulphates present, it lathers really well and less than one tablespoon of the shampoo is enough for one use… It cleanses the hair and scalp well, removes all the dirt and grime and even washes away thick hair oils in just one wash!
But that’s the only positive thing about this shampoo, i.e., it cleanses well!
I have been using this shampoo for over a month now and when I say that it has done more harm than good to me, I mean it! 🙁
I have a chronic dandruff problem, but the intensity is really mild… Even if I use a regular shampoo twice/thrice a week, my scalp remains calm and happy… 😛
But ever since I started using this shampoo, believe me, the intensity of dandruff on my scalp increased manifold times! It probably dried out my scalp too much because I could actually see chunks of dead skin cells on my scalp and hair…
It didn’t help me AT ALL with dandruff or itchy scalp… It also did not make my hair “silky”, “soft” or “conditioned” unlike what it claimed to do… Instead, my hair became comparatively rough and frizzy… 🙁
Am I disappointed?

SUMMING UP PROS AND CONS:
- Inexpensive and easily available online on Amazon, Flipkart and Nykaa.
- Sturdy, leak-proof, travel-friendly packaging.
- Has a nice fragrance.
- Lathers really well and removes all the dirt and oil from the hair and scalp.
- Contains a good amount of SLES.
- Does not fight dandruff and may instead aggravate it, as it did in my case.
- Does not provide any nourishment to the hair or scalp.
- May make the hair excessively dry, rough and frizzy, if used regularly.
FINAL TAKE: K. P. Namboodiri’s anti-dandruff shampoo may be inexpensive, but it is loaded with sulphates and does not help fight dandruff or itchy scalp at all! Instead, it may dry out the scalp and aggravate your scalp issues…
In my opinion, you should give this shampoo a miss! 😀
Hope it helps! ❤️
