Soul Tree Tulsi & Protective Neem Shower Gel Review

Hello dear people! ❤❤❤
I hope you all are doing great! 😀

Tulsi and neem are two ingredients which instantly make us nostalgic about childhood, isn’t it?
Those “Dadi maa ke nushkhe” (grandmother’s remedies) – from tulsi tonics for cold and cough to neem infused bath water for skin allergies… Those were some good old days! ❤

I have always had a special place in my heart for natural, traditional ingredients… And so, when I came across this tulsi and neem infused shower gel by Soul Tree while randomly browsing the brand’s website, a few months back, I just knew I had to try it! 😛
Today, I am going to review the same for you all! Read on…

COST: Rs. 425 for 250ml

SHELF LIFE: 30 months

MY TAKE ON THE PRODUCT:

Soul Tree tulsi & protective neem shower gel comes in an amber-coloured, translucent plastic bottle with a sturdy pump dispenser on the top. The dispenser has a clip which locks it in place and prevents accidental leakages and the bottle is really tough and durable… However, the overall packaging is quite bulky, making it unsuitable for travel purposes, and this particular variant is also not available in Soul Tree’s travel kits…
The bottle is covered with blue-coloured labels which contain all the necessary details about the product, including the claims, list of ingredients and shelf life…

The shower gel is transparent and has a brownish-yellow tinge to it. It is quite viscous and has a non-runny consistency… The fragrance of this shower gel is mild and really natural… It smells like a mixture of tulsi, neem and some other herbs! I quite love the fragrance and I don’t think that it is going to bother the sensitive noses at all… ❤

This shower gel lathers quite well when used with a loofah and 4-5 pumps (approx. 2/3 tsp.) of it are enough for one use… It cleanses the skin really well and removes all the dirt, oil and impurities… The shower gel leaves the skin absolutely clean and fresh and it also makes it a little fragrant. However, the smell vanishes within just a few minutes of use! 😛

Now, during the summers, due to the heat and excessive sweating, the areas under my knees, ankles and arms start itching… So, when I came across this tulsi & neem shower gel, I had really high expectations from it and I started using it with high hopes in May (2019)… I used it regularly for the entire month and have been using it on and off since then… But, sadly, this shower gel did nothing to soothe or reduce my itching… It also didn’t do anything for the few zits that I had on my back… 🙁
So, in my opinion, if you are looking for something to calm down your back acne or itching or rashes or anything as such, this shower gel is not going to help you…
However, if you are just looking for a comparatively natural, organic and safe bath care product, I would say that this is a good choice! 🙂
Also, I have a normal skin type right now and the shower gel doesn’t leave my skin dry or stretchy at all… However, it also doesn’t provide any extra hydration/moisturization to my skin! Therefore, I think that this shower gel is most suitable for normal-dry to extremely oily skin types and may strip the moisture off drier skin types…
