THE FACE SHOP DAMYANG BAMBOO FRESH SOOTHING GEL
DESCRIPTION: Contains (99%) bamboo extract from Damyang.
INGREDIENTS: Bambusa Vulgaris Extract, Alcohol Denat., Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Dipropylene Glycol, Water/EAU, Sodium Hyaluronate, Rhizobian Gum, PPG-26-Buteth-26, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Potassium Hydroxide, Disodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Parfum/Fragrance.
DIRECTIONS: Apply an appropriate amount to dry, sensitive parts of the face and body.
CAUTION: For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes. Keep out of reach of children. Discontinue use if irritation or rash occurs. Do not use on broken or damaged skin. Do not store at extreme temperatures or in direct sunlight.

MY TAKE ON THE PRODUCT:
The Face Shop Damyang bamboo fresh soothing gel comes in a pretty huge plastic tub, which is designed to look like a bamboo culm. I love the packaging – it may be bulky, but it is very sturdy and aesthetically-pleasing… ❤️
The tub has all the necessary details about the product, including the list of ingredients and expiry date, mentioned on it…
The bamboo gel is transparent and colourless… It is non-runny but has an extremely lightweight, watery texture (very similar to The Face Shop Jeju aloe gel)… The gel has a herbal fragrance which I find quite soothing! The smell is mild and fades away within a couple of minutes. So, I don’t think that it is going to bother the sensitive noses much…
My facial skin gets quite oily and problematic during the summer season and I pretty much ditch all of my moisturizers! This bamboo gel gets absorbed into the skin within no time and doesn’t leave behind any residue… Hence, it acts as a perfect moisturizer for oily skin types!
It is also quite soothing and when used after sun exposure, threading or hair removal, it calms down the skin…
This bamboo gel can be used as a mask for both face and hair as well as in DIY beauty recipes… 🙂
Now, this gel does contain a certain amount of chemicals… So, if you prefer to use only 100% natural gels, this is not something that would please you!
But I personally don’t mind using beauty products that contain a small amount of artifical additives… And I love this gel! 😀

- Not travel-friendly; bulky packaging.
- Contains fragrance and quite a few chemicals.

Wow now that’s a well explained product review. I’m thinking of gifting one to mom as she always tells me to order something non sticky for her. The review is quite self explanatory and she’s not much into skincare and this is quite a good investment and on the go product especially during work hours.
I have used their Aloe vera gel and White Lotus gel and both are so good. I will definitely try this.
The Face Shop Damyang Bamboo Fresh Soothing Gel sounds like an interesting product, as I have never used a skincare product based on Bamboo extract. Also good to know that it has multiple applications as well.
