Ancient Living Orange Lip Balm Review

The winter is passing, and the spring has officially announced its upcoming visit with the celebration of “Basant Panchami“! ❤️
So, as we bid adieu to the winter season, I thought it was only reasonable for me to write about one of my favourite skincare essentials this winter – Ancient Living orange lip balm! 😀

ANCIENT LIVING ORANGE LIP BALM

DESCRIPTION [as on the website]: Ancient Living lip balms are lip saviours. They protect the sensitive skin on the lips from drying in harsh weather. Natural beeswax is very beneficial for dry chapped lips. It locks in moisture, preventing further damage and soothes the pain of dry lips. It is a much safer alternative compared to petroleum-based balms. These balms are enriched with the goodness of nourishing almond oil, conditioning olive oil, natural Vitamin E and Ghee. Topical application of Ghee makes lips incredibly soft. Orange essential oil imparts a delicious fragrance. Does not add colour to the lips. Recommended for men and women. Safe for children too.

MY TAKE ON THE PRODUCT:

Ancient Living orange lip balm comes in a tiny transparent plastic tub with a black-coloured screw-on cap on the top and an additional lid inside! The label on the tub has the complete list of ingredients and the manufacturing details printed over it… The packaging of the balm is quite sturdy and compact, which makes it really easy to carry around! ❤️

This orange lip balm has a mild but beautiful citrus fragrance… It is definitely not that artificial, overly sweet orange fragrance that would remind you of orange cream biscuits or lollipops, instead the smell is very organic and natural as it comes from the essential oils present in the lippy! The balm is also devoid of added colours and hence, can be used beneath matte lipsticks…

The lip balm does not feel waxy or too sticky on touching, and neither does it make the lips feel heavy after application… ❤
This balm feels very comfortable on the lips and keeps the lips well moisturised for hours… It also doesn’t completely succumb to meals, and the lips feel quite nourished even after having food and wiping the lips! ❤

The lip balm is very effective when it comes to healing cracked, bitten or chapped lips… I have a habit of biting my lips which leaves them quite dry and chapped most of the times… This balm heals my lips almost completely, overnight! ❤️
In general, this orange lip balm makes the lips soft, supple, nourished and overall healthy, if used regularly… 🙂

SUMMING UP PROS AND CONS:

PROS:

1. Available online on Amazon, Flipkart and Purplle.
2. Compact, travel-friendly packaging.
3. Free of harmful chemicals, added colours and artificial fragrance.
4. Enriched with the goodness of organic ingredients like ghee, orange and grapefruit essential oils, jojoba oil and shea butter.
5. Has a pleasant citrus fragrance.
6. Doesn’t feel heavy or waxy on the lips!
7. Keeps the lips soft, supple and moisturised; works great for chapped and cracked lips.
8. Stays on the lips for hours and doesn’t completely succumb to meals.
9. Can be used as an overnight treatment for soft, healthy lips.

CONS:

1. A bit expensive (although, it is worth the money)!
2. Comes in a tub packaging which may seem unhygienic to many people.

FINAL TAKE: Ancient Living orange lip balm is a really effective balm that has a pleasant fragrance and keeps the lips healthy and nourished…
